Home Design magazine and eussen Living have teamed up to promote the ultimate student interior design competition in 2015
This student interior design competition, co-presented by Home Design magazine and eussen Living, is focussed on the ethical, economic and sustainable elements of a community-based design project. It involves designing an integrated indoor/outdoor space for a western-Sydney farm project run by Cana Communities, a charity helping to bring purpose back into the lives of people suffering from loneliness, mental illness, addictions, homelessness and other alienating conditions.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to support Australian design education and connect the students with industry and the Australian public,” said John Eussen. “It is such a privilege to be able to represent our finalists in these publications. This will launch the careers of our next generation of interior designers.”
The Home Design group will also be hosting the ‘People’s Choice Award’ category, mobilising its audience to vote and find the best student design ideas.
“Australians are becoming more design literate every day,” said Publisher Janice Williams. “We see our consumers being attracted to design courses, and our designers upskilling to stay ahead in the game. We are thrilled to be joining forces with eussen Living for this student design initiative.”
All current degree and diploma design students from the following institutions have been invited to enrol:
Sydney: Whitehouse Institute of Design, Billy Blue College of Design: Bachelor of Interior Design, CATC: Diploma of Design & Decoration
